If you’ve been paying attention to our frequent postings here at The Right to Bear you know on occasion we share videos from YouTube.

The YouTube platform allows millions of firearms enthusiasts the chance to share their common passion with one another in a free, open platform.

So it might come as a surprise to you that one of the most popular channels on the video sharing site has been suspended.

Bearing arms writes:

Hundreds of thousands of fans of mild-mannered YouTube gun-reviewer hickok45 are shocked today to find a notice from Google that his account has been terminated.

This account has been terminated due to repeated violations of Google’s policies.

There isn’t yet an update on the entertainer’s Facebook page that explains his view of what happened, and we’re going to withhold speculation on reasons for the account termination.

Until this account termination is explained, it has the potential to have a huge chilling effect on firearms YouTubers, and may drive them towards alternate platforms.

We’ll update this story as more becomes known.

Now whether or not this ban is temporary or not remains to be seen.

It is odd one of the more popular gun advocates on YouTube would have his account struck down right as Obama moves to further limit second amendment freedoms.

It might be noting more than coincidence…but it sure does seem fishy.

What do you think about all this?
