Country Buys Thousands Of US Rifles

A “fast-procurement” process employed by India is turning into an excellent boost for Sig Sauer.

The county has decided to follow through with a plan to buy 72,400 SIG 716 rifles to update the firearms used by border infantry battalions.

The deal is valued at roughly $100 million U.S. and has been in talks for several months now.

The opportunity arose after the India’s state rifle factory, Ishapore, failed to deliver on a replacement rifle variant.
