Panera Bread

Panera Bread is asking customers not to bring firearms into its locations, becoming the latest company to take a clear anti-gun stance in an attempt to “preserve the environment we are working to create for our guests and associates.”

The new policy asks that no one other than law enforcement officers bring guns into any Panera Bread location.

Panera bread company has caved to the pressure of the activist group “Moms Demand Action” and linked arms with places like Chipotle, Starbucks, Sonic, Jack in the Box and Chili’s in their commitment to giving people a “place to breathe.”

Never mind the overwhelming amount of evidence which supports lawful concealed and open carry as a means of reducing crime, Panera just wants everyone to feel okay when they come in and order a broccoli and cheddar bread bowl.

And everyone will continue to feel okay when a criminal brandishing a weapon comes in and has their way knowing there’s no on there to resist him?

The decision comes as a result of Panera evaluating their commitment to customers and their comfort level at restaurants.

Saying “Panera Warmth” was a major reason they decided to move forward, they wrote:

Within our company, we strive to create Panera Warmth. This warmth means bakery-cafes where customers and associates feel comfortable and welcome. To this end, we ask that guns not be brought into this environment unless carried by an authorized law enforcement officer. Panera respects the rights of gun owners, but asks our customers to help preserve the environment we are working to create for our guests and associates.

Here’s the deal. The best part about the free market is when a company like Panera makes a decision like this, when they choose to alienate a large portion of the United States citizenship, Americans have every right to deprive the company of their business.

It’s the way capitalism was designed to work.

And if a company like Panera wants to open themselves up to the possibility of attack because of a “Gun Free” policy, it’s totally their prerogative.

When Moms Demand Action strong-armed Target into taking a similar position, there were a number of recorded incidences of violence which took place on Target properties.

Likewise, when other small businesses openly and loudly proclaim their “Gun Free” status, it’s no wonder they’re robbed shortly thereafter.

Case in point, a restaurant in North Carolina was robbed days after posting a “No Guns Allowed Sign.”

While most gun owners would be happy to take their firearms into a restaurant to help add an extra layer of protection, no one’s forcing them to.

And when they’re clearly not welcome, well… who’s to blame when something bad does happen?

This decision will of course be met with protest as Open Carry Texas has already committed to making their opinion on the matter known with planned protests at local Panera stores.

All of that being said, now more than ever, it’s time to plan for an America where guns simply aren’t welcome anymore.

Both state and national opinion is being swayed by the liberal media, and there is an increase in the amount of harsh, restrictive gun laws being put into place every single week.

Do what you can to prepare for a future where guns are “illegal.”
